After breakfast at Terelj Lodge, leave the national park to visit Chingiss Khaan Statute, a 40-meter high stainless steel equestrian monument at Tsonjin Boldog side, 54 km east of Ulaanbaatar. The statute complex includes a souvenir shop, two museums, and a conference hall. Visitors can go up the statue using the elevator or the stairs to the head of the horse where they can have a panoramic view of the beautiful landscape. Then on the way to Ulaanbaatar, visit the memorial complex of Tonyukuk the Wise, who served as an advisor to three successive khans of the 8th century Turkic Khaganate, and a place of sacrifice. There is an engraved stone platform, a kurgan stelae with its top part broken, small standing stones, pottery, bricks, and an irrigation system located at the site, surrounded by balbals and tombstones. Then drive to Ulaanbaatar and have lunch. Afternoon at leisure.
